Aurora Town Square – BUDGET INCREASE & No Task Force

What’s been happening with the Aurora Town Square project? Apparently, there has been a recent increase in the budget for this project. It’s never fun when budgets start creeping up. What’s even more surprising is that a dedicated Library Square Construction Budget Control Task Force, put in place to monitor and manage these increasing costs, is inactive this term. Now, I don’t know about you, but that seems like a bit of an oversight to me. It’s crucial to have a group to keep an eye on the project and make sure things don’t spiral out of control.

NOTE: Between 2020 and 2023, there must have been an increase somewhere in the range of $200, but I can’t find it. 🤣🤣🤣 .

What happened to the Library Square Construction Budget Control Task Force?

No idea. But we know that the last budget increase was approved in the closed session, as per above.
